6th Hair Donation Campaign to support Women with Breast Cancer

Hammoud Hospital UMC organized on Friday, October 26th the 6th Hair Donation Campaign under the title "صار بدى قصة لندعم القصة" in collaboration with Rotaract Club of Saida and The Spot Mall Saida. Ali Chaker, Nader Shamieh and Ramzi ibrik, three hair dressers were present with their teams to support the cause. 

250 locks of hair were collected and sent to Karkafi Hair to be transformed into wigs. Hammoud Hospital UMC has a wide selection of wigs for any women suffering from cancer; any wig is given for free.

The results of the COLCOT study  has been presented at the American Heart Association (AHA) Scientific Sessions in Philadelphia, PA on November 16, 2019 and published in The New England Journal of Medicine and NEJM  journal.

Hammoud Hospital UMC contributed to this achievement and helped putting another international milestone for Medicine and Cardiology in Lebanon with its investigators Dr. Said Shaaban and Dr Samia Filali Zaatari.

Dental Humanitarian Mission 2019

Hammoud Hospital University Medical Center and MRC Clinics- Smiling Faces (owned by Dr. Fadi Antar, Pediatric Dentist) in partenrship with Sumar Lakhani Foundation (founded by Dr. Sumar Lakhani, an American Pediatric Dentist) organised a Dental Humanitarain Mission for Lebanese, Palestinian and Syrian impoverished children from 6 to 10 years old. The mission took place from October 13th till the 15th at MRC Clinics Saida.
