Dental Humanitarian Mission 2019

Hammoud Hospital University Medical Center and MRC Clinics- Smiling Faces (owned by Dr. Fadi Antar, Pediatric Dentist) in partenrship with Sumar Lakhani Foundation (founded by Dr. Sumar Lakhani, an American Pediatric Dentist) organised a Dental Humanitarain Mission for Lebanese, Palestinian and Syrian impoverished children from 6 to 10 years old. The mission took place from October 13th till the 15th at MRC Clinics Saida. 

The mission included:

  • Preventative dental care by applying fluoride varnish 
  • Examining children's teeth
  • Applying Silver Diamine Fluoride to arrest cavities
  • Sealing Virgin Teeth
  • Dental health education
  • Personal hygiene education 
  • Gingivectomy procedure
